1. General information
These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of ready-made interactive map files for Microsoft Excel (“Map Files”) and the provision of training and consulting services through this website. The website is operated by Bartosz Czapiewski (“we”, “us”), Warsaw, Poland, e-mail: contact@maps-for-excel.com, phone: +48 500 196 861.
By placing an order or using this website you accept these Terms. “Excel” and “Microsoft” are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation; we are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Microsoft.
2. Orders and conclusion of the contract
You can place an order via the contact form or by e-mail. After we confirm the scope (map type, number of users, language of the file) you will receive a pro-forma invoice within 24 hours. The purchase agreement is concluded when we receive your payment.
3. Prices and payment
All prices are quoted individually and depend on the map type and the number of users. Prices are given net; VAT is added where applicable. Payment is made by bank transfer based on the invoice. Ownership of the Map File passes to you after full payment.
4. Delivery
The Map File (.xlsm) is delivered electronically to the e-mail address indicated in the order within 24 hours of receiving payment, together with a VAT invoice. No physical goods are shipped.
5. License terms
Subject to full payment, you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use the Map File in accordance with the license package purchased:
- Single user – use on one computer by one person;
- 3 users – use on up to three computers within one organization;
- Company-wide – unlimited use within one organization.
You may use the Map File for any internal and commercial reporting purposes of your organization. You may not resell, rent, sublicense, publicly distribute or share the Map File or any part of it (including maps, macros and dashboard components) with third parties outside your organization. You may not use the Map File to build a competing product.
6. Updates and support
The license includes free updates of the Map File for 12 months from the date of purchase. After this period, updates are optional and available for 25% of the current license price per year. E-mail support is provided in English, typically within 1–2 business days, and is included in the license price.
7. Compatibility and free demo
Map Files work with desktop Excel for Windows (Excel 2007–2016, Microsoft 365 desktop, 32-bit and 64-bit). They do not work with Excel for Mac, Excel Online or mobile versions. Before purchasing you are encouraged to test the free demo version, which reflects the functionality of the full product.
8. Trainings and workshops
Training dates, scope and format (onsite or online) are agreed individually. Free cancellation is possible up to 7 days before the training date; later cancellations may be invoiced up to 50% of the agreed fee. Travel and accommodation costs for onsite trainings outside Poland are agreed in advance.
9. Liability
The Map File is provided “as is”. While we make every effort to keep it error-free, we do not guarantee that it will work in every hardware or software configuration. Our liability is in any case limited to the amount of the license fee paid, and we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of profit or loss of data. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including statutory consumer rights.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Polish law. Any disputes will be resolved by the court competent according to Polish law; consumers may also rely on the consumer protection rules of their country of residence within the European Union.
